Tamara Peterson joined the Foundation in 2011. In her current position as research associate she is responsible for supporting the research and evaluation activities of the Foundation.

Tamara received both a bachelor’s degree in experimental psychology and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She has experience as a research assistant at the University of South Carolina and The Center for Child and Family Studies and as an intern at The Women’s Shelter.

Prior to joining the Foundation, she served as a grant reviewer for the Health Resources and Services Administration.  Tamara is a member of the University of South Carolina Alumni Association.  

In her free time, Tamara enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and art.
