Brooke Bailey serves as Director of Communications and Public Policy for the Foundation.
In this position, she is responsible for the public relations, marketing and communications activities of the Foundation including media relations, board and staff education, Web site development and Foundation publications. She is responsible for planning and implementing communications strategies built upon the Foundation’s efforts in capacity building, grantee program sustainability, public policy and advocacy and other strategic initiatives.
Ms. Bailey holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Wesleyan University. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was the assistant marketing communications manager for Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, SC.
As a member of the South Carolina chapter of Public Relations Society of America, Ms. Bailey has held positions of both newsletter editor and communications committee chair. She has served on several boards and committees in the Midlands including The Cooperative Ministry Board, First Tee Columbia and Columbia Opportunity Resource Board. She currently serves on the Healthy Learners Marketing and Public Relations Committee, Leadership Columbia Committee, University of South Carolina Richland/Lexington Counties Alumni Board of Trustees and is a member of the Junior League of Columbia. Ms. Bailey is a 2007 Southeastern Council of Foundations Hull Fellow and a graduate of the 2009-10 class of Leadership Columbia.
A community involvement enthusiast, Ms. Bailey is also an avid Gamecock fanatic and enjoys boating, traveling, college football, music and art.
