Maria Kratsios

Maria Kratsios joined the Foundation Board in 2011.

Mrs. Kratsios received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from Carlow College, a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Duquesne University, a Master of Science in Hygiene in Health Aspects of Water Quality and in Environmental Health from the University of Pittsburgh and a Doctorate in Science and Math Education from Curtin University of Technology in Australia. She currently serves as the Richland School District Two head of advanced academic programs in Columbia, S.C. Kratsios has served on the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina Program and Information Committee since March 2010.

Some of her honors include a Ph.D. Research Scholarship through Curtin University of Technology and a Teaching Fellowship with the University of Pittsburgh Chemistry Department.

Originally from Greece, Mrs. Kratsios now resides in Columbia with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys art, classical music and traveling.
