About the Program
The Nonprofit Leadership Development Program (NLDP) is designed for established nonprofit leaders who are recognized as proven leaders within their organization and community. NLDP is an intensive leadership development program designed for a wide range of nonprofit leaders in organizations across the state. This FREE program was developed to provide nonprofit leaders the opportunity to enhance personal leadership skills, knowledge and frameworks to lead within nonprofit organizations in an ever-changing diverse society in South Carolina.
At the conclusion of the Nonprofit Leadership Development Program, through the accomplishment of specific assignments, reading requirements and class discussions, students will have:
- Increased self-awareness as a leader;
- Greater skill in leading from one’s personal strengths;
- Improved ability to build strong and productive relationships with diverse stakeholders;
- Renewed sense of excitement and purpose in work;
- Strengthened skills for creating and leading positive change;
- Greater skill in balancing work, personal life and maintaining personal wellness;
- Personal plan for moving forward as a leader.
Topics covered throughout the program are: Identifying Leadership Styles, Leadership Ethics and Strategies, Leading from the Middle and Effective Followership, Leadership in Managing Change and Conflict and Balancing Work Life and Personal Life.
