In response to God's call and in the spirit of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, the Foundation strategically uses resources to reduce poverty through action, advocacy and leadership.

Foundation Awards $93,000 to Sister-led Ministries
The Foundation has awarded eight Collaboration for Ministry Initiative grants, totaling $93,000, to programs associated with women religious (Catholic nuns) across South Carolina. Read more.


Caritas Grant Application Deadline: November 1
Caritas grants are for organizations providing outreach services to the poor and marginalized. Designed for organizations with annual budgets of less than $500,000, these one-year grant awards do not exceed $3,000.

The upcoming application deadline is the first Tuesday in November (November 1). Learn more and apply.


Grant Writing and Evaluation Workshop
Apply for the free, daylong Grant Writing and Evaluation Workshop on Tuesday, November 15, and choose to participate from Columbia, Charleston, Florence or Greenwood, S.C. The deadline to apply is November 7.

On September 29 the Foundation partnered with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations to sponsor a workshop for nonprofits on organizational strategies and tools to help with successful planning in the current economy. Read more.
