Foundation Awards $87,481 in Caritas Fund Grants
The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina has awarded 30 Caritas Fund grants totaling $87,481 to non-profit and faith-based organizations across South Carolina.
"In omnibus caritas" meaning "in all things charity" are simple all-encompassing words that the Foundation seeks to practice though the Caritas Fund. As a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina makes Caritas Fund grants to worthy endeavors of non-profit and faith-based organizations reaching out to meet the immediate needs of the poor.
The objective of the Caritas Fund is to provide outreach services and linkages to the poor and marginalized. Caritas Fund awards are up to $3,000 for a one-year period and are designed for organizations with annual budgets of less than $250,000.

Foundation To Lose Four Founding Board Member
The end of the year marks the loss of four of the Foundation's founding board members. We want to thank Rev. Ron Brailsford, Bill Otis, Mitch Watson and Rhett Wolfe for their dedication and service over the past eleven years. Their commitment to the mission of the Sisters and the Foundation has been both steadfast and invaluable. They have all made a tremendous difference in the Foundation's work and in the lives of the underserved in South Carolina.
Merry Christmas
The Sisters of Charity Foundation would like to thank you for your support and your relentless effort in addressing poverty in South Carolina. May the joy and peace of Christmas be with you today and throughout the new year.
