Letter from the President
September
9
This Sisters of Charity Foundation is committed to our mission to strategically use resources to reduce poverty through action, advocacy and leadership.
This year, we will implement our new strategic plan, which will center around our focus areas of grant making, capacity building (strengthening nonprofits’ abilities to accomplish goals), education and communications (lessons learned) and public policy and advocacy (affecting change).
The Foundation recognizes the tremendous struggle that many organizations and poor communities are facing at this difficult time, and we are committed to serving the ongoing needs of the poor. The Sisters of Charity Foundation’s mission and work will continue, in spite of the economic hardships, long into the future.
Sincerely,
Thomas C. Keith
President
